Barind college of Nursing Sciences (BCNS) is established in 2016 which is located atvodra, padmaAbashik, 179/1 chhottoBongram, Chandrima, Rajshahi. At first BCNS secured approval for Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery (3Years) Course by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOH & FW) on January 2016 for 60 seats. The course is affiliated with Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council in the session of 2015-2016 and admission of students has started since then. The number of seats is increased to 40 seats form 2021-2022 with the approval of Ministry of Healthand Family Welfare. Barind college of nursing Sciences approval for BSC in Nursing (Basic) course by the Ministry of Health &and Family Welfare (MOH & FW) on 2020-2021 Session for 50 seats. The Course is affiliated with Rajshahi Medical University.

Aims and objectives

Barind College of Nursing Sciences has taken a great vow to develop the skills of educated and talented boys and girls in the nursing profession and to ensure better health care for the people of Bangladesh.

The sole aim and objective of the institution is to serve the oppressed and produce skilled nurses of international standards. Besides, one of the goals is to make the country economically self-reliant by creating employment opportunities for these skilled human resources in the country and abroad.

  • In addition to full-time senior teachers (nurses), the medical college is taught by professors and skilled teaching staff.
  • Regular class evaluations and weekly tests are conducted.
  • Teaching is done through modern equipment. Eg: microscope, laptop, computer, multimedia, incubator.
  • Regular practical classes and individual tutoring for every student.
  • Informing the parents about the status of each student and keeping track of the students.
  • Teaching in a non-political, pleasant, lively environment.
  • The institute is equipped with advanced anatomy, microbiology, physiology, midwifery, fundamentals of nursing, nutrition, computer lab and English Language Club.
